WEIGHT LOSS STORYNan BellMY WHOLE LIFE HAS CHANGED |
I was healthy in high school. Growing up I never had to worry about my weight. However, after high school I got married, settled down and had children. I did not exercise nor did I eat healthy. This all soon began to change everything. For the past twelve years I have battled a weight problem. The last five years have been the worst. My weight and size increased more and more. I found myself not even wanting to buy new clothes because they never looked good anyway. Black was the only color in my wardrobe. I always thought it made me look a little bit smaller. Trust me, it really doesn’t work. I found myself not even wanting to look in the mirror. I tried to block it out. I never wanted anyone to take pictures of me at family functions. If they did I would receive a copy and tear up the ones of me.

probably wondering “How did she lose her weight?” I will tell anyone
that losing weight and getting your body into shape is not given
to you on a silver platter. As I was told, “if you want something in
life you have to work for it“. I finally began to listen. I spend at
least eight hours a week at the Dojo, if not more. I am now maintaining
between I know that I will always continue to stay in shape and eat right. My journey began on February 12, 2004 but will always continue. I look forward to what this journey holds for me in the future. Could I have done this alone? No. I did not, by far, do this on my own. I prayed about this for a long time and continue to pray and thank God. I could not have done this if it wasn’t for my family especially my husband and his never ending support. And I can’t forget my Dojo Family, especially Kim (my partner in crime).

Let’s don’t forget the most
important person of all - Sensei or you may know him as “BP“. I don’t
think I could possible ever say enough about Sensei. I can truly say that
he is one of a kind. He has helped change my life forever. He continues
to show his encouragement and dedication to his students everyday. There
will never be enough words to tell anyone about him. There will never
be enough words to let him know how grateful I am for his support. The
respect and confidence I have found for him is without words. He has and
continues to make me a better person mentally and physically.
Thank You Sensei! I look forward to my future at The Karate Dojo not only in our Cardio classes, but especially Karate.
